Lake Wanaka - World's First Lifestyle Reserve

The Southern Lakes Festival of Colour is a biennial celebration of the arts.

Six exciting days and nights of astounding performances and inspiring exhibitions set against the spectacular autumnal backdrop of the Southern Lakes. Featuring music, theatre, dance and art with local, national and international performers the festival has become established as one of the leading arts festivals of the south island attracting visitors from all over the country as well as huge local support.

The Festival is based in Wanaka but reaches out to the wider region with performances in Luggate, Hawea, Tarras, Bannockburn, Clyde, Glenorchy and Arrowtown. In 2011 the touring programme will also take in Queenstown.
