Join thousands of locals and visitors for the Summerdaze Festival held in the Queenstown Lakes region this January.
The festival runs the month of January and provides a fun filled programme of events with something for everyone to enjoy, featuring music, sport, arts and crafts, there’s a Teddy Bears’ Picnic for the young ones and a Tea Dance for the more mature residents.
The events reflect the diversity of people and interests in the region, offering locals and visitors fun and free events to participate in during the peak of summer.
For the sport enthusiasts there are mountain biking events, triathlons, running races and a skate boarding competition for the youth. Exciting events to spectate include the Rodeo, New Zealand National Sevens Tournament, holiday galas, A&P shows or wander around the many markets in the district and pick up a treat.
New to the 2013 calendar is the TomTom Outdoor Cinema, catch a film under the stars as the moon sets on the Remarkables mountain range. For the little ones we are hosting a PJ Jam in the library. Bring along your duvet and teddy for some entertainment, hot choc and stories in the library after-hours.
The Queenstown Lakes region relishes the vibrancy of summer and encourages everyone to get out and about for the Summerdaze Festival.
