After laughing until your sides hurt as you watch your favourite movies together at Cinema Paradiso, and a wonderful nights sleep you will awaken to a wonderful leisurely yummy breakfast. Go for a beauty therapy treatment ( massage, pedicure, manicure ) and some retail therapy in Wanaka before heading off on a  bike ride around the lake to Rippon Vineyard. Sound like your kind of break then read on...

 

We've created a package for you based around the activities below but you can edit them and make it more suitable to your individual requirements. Take a look & customise it to suit you.

 
Day One

Set the scene

  • Go for a walk,run or bike ride around the lake edge or up Mount Iron to enjoy the spectacular scenery Wanaka offers.
  • Chill out with a coffee at one of the many cafes Wanaka has to offer.
  • Adventure Wanaka offer guided trike tours around the area or Funny French Cars will provide a fun and informative tour to suit. Hire a scooter from Pembroke Rentals and zip around town.
  • Go for a horse ride with Backcountry Saddles up the Cardrona Valley or through the Rippon vineyard with Timber Creek Equestrian Centre and this will include a tasting of the local Rippon wines.
  • End the day with a relaxing visit to the Oakridge Resort Pools.
Day Two
  • Experience at skydive with Skydive Lake Wanaka who offer either 12,000 or 15, 000’ jumps. Do a tandem paraglide with Wanaka Paraglide.
  • Pilot a plane under the guidance of an experienced instructor with U-Fly or Wanaka Flight Training.
  • Experience the heart stopping thrill of a ride in the Silver Demon or ride with Classic Flights in a Tiger Moth.
  • Take a scenic flight to Milford Sound (including a boat cruise) or around Mount Aspiring.
  • Time to relax and calm the adrenaline rush in pampered luxury at one of the many beauty therapy studios which offer a wide range of treatments or alternatively have a massage. Try a Pinot and Pamper Package with Ridgeline – bubbles, pampering, food and wine tours – take your pick of the options which best suit you.
  • There are a wide range of restaurants and bars in Wanaka and what better way to end an awesome day in Wanaka than to experience a gourmet experience or share a pizza with friends over a glass of Central Otago wine or a glass of the local beer from Wanaka Beerworks.
Day Three
  • Wanaka has a stunning range of shops offering fashion and casual wear – Escape, Bella, 47 Frocks and Cherry. For jewellery, gifts and homeware Orbis, Originz, Kitz and Gifted are also worth a visit
  • Drive to Tarras and spend time in the General Store, Mrs Robinson’s, the merino shop is full of luxury wool products and also learn the story of Shrek the hermit sheep. The coffee shop there is also well worth a visit.
  • Travel on down the road towards Cromwell and stop of f at Northburn for a lunch platter and a glass of their wines. Food is farmgate fresh and delicious. Sit in the garden restaurant and take in the fabulous Central Otago scenery.
  • Return to Wanaka by travelling back through Cromwell. A visit to Old Cromwell Town is a relaxing way before your return to Wanaka.
  • Take in a movie at Cinema Paradiso and have a meal or a must is to taste one of their specialty cookies.

    Other Options:
     
  • Visit the Sunday markets held in summertime on Pembroke Park.
  • Ski the slopes in winter.
