The guys and gals of rodeo strut their stuff for the crowds, demonstrating the prowess and skill and sheer bravery it takes to get in the ring… barrel rolling, steer wrestling, bull riding, team roping, saddle bronc and bareback bronc.
Along with the ring action is tons of live performances and side shows.
The Wānaka Rodeo is part of the South Island Christmas Circuit compromising five rodeos. Wānaka offers very valuable championship points that competitors keenly seek as they chase various national titles.
