International competition winners, Jacquin Trio performs Beethoven, Brahms and Bruch
Jacquin Trio performing Beethoven, Brahms & Bruch
Winners of the Royal Overseas League, and the St Martin-in-the-Fields Chamber Music Competitions, the trio featured in Classical Music Magazine as one of the “front runners taking to the chamber music stage”.
The Jacquin Trio (violin/viola, piano and clarinet/ bass clarinet) are rapidly establishing a reputation for their dynamic performances and spirited performances. The trio has performed extensively across the UK as “Making Music” artists and in some of the most prestigious venues in Britain. London-based Irish clarinettist Jessie Grimes is a chamber musician and orchestral player, as well as a teacher, presenter and creative workshop leader.
Kay Stephen from Aberdeen, took up the viola by accident, early on in her violin studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She quickly realised it was the best mistake she ever made and has slightly preferred it to the violin ever since. With family roots in Vancouver and Hong Kong, pianist Charis Hanning made London her home after arriving there in 2009. Her sense of adventure is ever-present, making her a versatile, creative and spirited artist.
