Tuesday, October 27 to Sunday, November 1
Six days of talks, workshops and activities with local and national experts to educate, inspire and enable grassroots action towards the new normal - a carbon zero, thriving, regenerative future.
The RESET button has been pushed on our global, national and local economy and community as we focus on protecting our fundamental right to health and life. The rapidity of the decision making has catapulted us into unknown territory. The future is suddenly very blurry. What is clear is that there is no going back towards pre-March "Business as Usual". Once we get over the initial shock and fight/flight response, we will all need to focus on what is (or could be) the "New Normal".
Big decisions need to be made around whether we prop up the old system, and for how long, or do we start investing our time, energy and capital in a new system. 2020 has given us the opportunity to build a regenerative, zero emissions society based on our shared values: equity, diversity, respect for all life, honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the understanding we only have one planet.
The 2020 RESET SUMMIT is focused on providing the space for discussions as well as connecting the community with experts and to help with the "How". The opening discussion sets the scene on the 'where to from here' discussion, focusing on the big picture with our next big challenge, decarbonisation of the economy.
