Regenerative Tourism by 2030: Lake Wānaka Tourism, Destination Queenstown and Queenstown Lakes District Council.

To develop a co-designed plan, we have heard from our members and the visitor industry, the Queenstown Lakes community, and stakeholders.

This has been a collaborative effort to ensure the tourism industry evolves in a way that puts people and place at its centre and enables a viable and regenerative tourism future by 2030.

People from all parts of our local community and business community got involved in the journey to a destination management plan for our district, and we are incredibly grateful. Thank you to everyone who contributed in interviews, focused group discussions, workshops and surveys. We expect to have the final draft ready for viewing and final feedback in late March 2022 with the finalised version distributed and rolled out from late May 2022.
