Winter boys trip to Wanaka

As told by Ryan Ginns from Sydney who came to Wanaka last winter "with the boys"

Who are you and what do you do?

I’m Ryan, 30 years old living in Sydney Australia. I have a digital media agency that operates predominantly in sports with a focus on the surf industry.

Can you explain what travelling with mates means to you?

Getting away with my mates is something I’ll always hold tight in my list of priorities. To be lucky enough to travel is one thing, to do it with your best pals is on a whole other level.

What is the best piece of advice when travelling to Wanaka with friends?

Catch a sunrise up at Treble Cone, drink local beer and book yourself a seat on a heli.

What is something you have discovered on this trip in Wanaka?

Other how friendly the locals are, I discovered just how beautiful Wanaka really is. I’d been going to the South Island for years but overlooked somewhere that I intend on going back for the rest of my life.

What’s your favourite spot in Wanaka and why?

The summit at Treble Cone speaks for itself. Boot pack for 20 minutes, take it all in and get a real fun line down.
