New visually driven website for Lake Wanaka Tourism
Wanaka, New Zealand (Tuesday 6 December June, 2016) Lake Wanaka Tourism (LWT) has launched a fresh new-look website, designed to reflect the updated brand rolled out earlier this year.
The image driven, mobile first site www.wanaka.co.nz will provide the user with a tailor-made experience, serving up location based, relevant, inspirational content.
Christchurch based web company TimeZoneOne, were tasked with the rebuild and have worked closely with the LWT team to deliver a site that is visually stunning.
Lawrence Smith, Digital Strategist for TimeZoneOne and the project lead said, we’ve taken away the clutter to create a site that reflects the beauty and serenity of the Wanaka region.
“It’s the first step in the consumer journey and truly showcases the area, and importantly, it delivers this in a mobile experience.
“By also adapting a philosophy of continual evolution, we can ensure the site stays relevant to the needs of a modern and technologically savvy traveller.”
LWT’s General Manager James Helmore said, it’s our key tool to reach visitors and we are extremely pleased with the new look site.
“In line with current consumer behaviour, the user journey is now seamless, faster and ultimately easier for visitors to discover all the things to see and do in the region, encouraging them to stay longer and do more.”
Lake Wanaka Tourism (LWT) is a Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) formed in 1993. The organisation is an incorporated society which is membership based, with 460 member businesses. A board of six, elected from the membership governs LWT.
