Pembroke Patisserie now have a shop in Albert Town so you don't have wait for market day to get your hands on their legendary custard squares and donuts. Or maybe their award winning gingerbread biscuits and savouries are more to your taste?

5. Soulfood Organics

Soulfood Organic is Wanaka's first and oldest organic store and cafe. Delicious cafe food all made onsite from organic GF ingredients - perfect for a guilt free lunch. Try their bliss balls! 

6. Best for breakfast

Federal DinerKai Whaka Pai Relishes Cafe are all great spots for breakfast or a late brunch (#TripAdvisor June 2019). Dripping Bowl is another option worth checking out for 100% refined sugar free, with an array of choices for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegans.

7. Craft brews to try

With over half a dozen local craft breweries operating in Wanaka, you'll be spoilt for choice and deciding which one you like the best might make for a memorable holiday - or maybe not? Try Wanaka BeerworksRhyme & Reason, Ground Up Brewing, B-Effect, Maverick and Sidewinder. 

8. Vineyards & Distillery

If wine, whiskey or gin is more to your liking then visit one of our tasting rooms or take the easy option on a guided tour. Rippon Vineyard, Maude Tasting Room and Nanny Goat (formerly Archangel) make stunning wines while the Cardrona Distillery will happily teach you about the entire spirit making process, from grain to glass.
