Treble Cone Ski Area
Treble Cone, the South Islands largest ski area, is famous for its long un-crowded groomed runs, legendary off-piste terrain and unrivalled views over Lake Wanaka and the Southern Alps.
For beginner skiers and snowboards, Treble Cone free beginner surface lifts and discounted First Timer Packages provides a comfortable environment to make your first turns. For intermediates looking to explore, the massive 700m of vertical makes space for some of New Zealand’s longest groomed trails. For advanced terrain, the Saddle Basin, Summit Slopes and Motatapu Chutes provide playgrounds of open powder faces, natural half pipes and fun drops.

How to find us
Situated in the spectacular Matukituki Valley, 26 kms west of Wanaka, near the gateway to Mount Aspiring National Park. The ski area faces east and as a result has a high amount of sunshine. With proximity most western, the north westerlies bring fantastic powder snow.
From Wanaka: Treble Cone is a 35 minute scenic drive west from Wanaka township.
From Queenstown : visitors driving to Treble Cone should allow 1½ hrs (via Crown Range) or 2 hrs (via Cromwell).
From Christchurch: Choose to fly to Wanaka airport (1 hour), coach (6 hours) or drive (5 hours).
From Dunedin: Allow a 3.0 hour drive to Wanaka and a further 35 minutes to Treble Cone.
