Lake Wanaka's Unique Attractions

Lake Wanaka's Unique Attractions

Fun, quirky, exciting… always engaging. Created by people with passions to share, Wanaka’s attractions are as unique as the personalities behind them.

Stuart Landsborough’s Puzzling World offers fun and mystery with illusions and holograms and is host to the world’s first modern-style maze. For children and grownups alike, The National Transport and Toy Museum offers a playful trip down memory lane with interactive toy displays and unusual vehicles. Head next door and take in the splendour of World War II fighters at the Warbirds and Wheels.

Scale the indoor climbing walls at Basecamp Wanaka or test yourself on the Clip ‘n Climb. From the retro charms of Cinema Paradiso to the mini-putt fun at Have A Shot, unique and exciting entertainment awaits you in Lake Wanaka. Round your day off with a tour and a drink at Wanaka’s very own Beerworks Brewery.

No. 69 - Prepare to be Amazed

At Puzzling World tease your mind in a world of conundrums that starts with a 3-D Hologram Hall. In the Tilted House the three senses of balance are beset by conflicting signals. The whole building is lifted by a 15∞ angle. As you emerge you are confronted by 168 pairs of eyes in the Hall of Following Faces. Perhaps the most visually exciting illusion is the Ames Room.
