How we get there

Regenerative Tourism by 2030: Lake Wanaka Tourism, Destination Queenstown & Queenstown Lakes District Council.

In order to develop a co-designed plan, we need to hear from our members and the visitor industry, the Queenstown Lakes community and stakeholders.

This will be a collaborative effort to ensure the tourism industry evolves in a way that puts people and place at its centre and enables a viable and regenerative tourism future by 2030.

We’re encouraging people to get involved in different ways, through interviews and focused group discussions as well as a more creative and interactive process to help pinpoint current issues and imagine new pathways towards a regenerative tourism future. Overseeing this process, from planning to implementation, is an independent Industry Leaders Advisory Board
